Kris Bizzaca has worked as a heritage consultant and professional historian since 1998. She has qualifications in English, history and public history specialising in the research of the post-European settlement and cultural heritage environment of Western Australia.
Kris takes an active role in the community and has a particular passion for WA's heritage. This has seen her engaged with a number of non-profit organisations including her appointment to the Library Board of WA from 2007 to 2013. As a result of her interest, she has been involved in several projects funded by grants of $4million aimed at preserving and making publicly accessible material held at the J. S. Battye Library of West Australian History.
In addition to this, Kris has extensive experience in the preparation of heritage assessments, conservation reports, museum/interpretation projects, and significance assessments of archives and heritage collections.
