Description
Helen Munt is an experienced historian, heritage and interpretation consultant with qualifications in history, heritage, museology, arts and media. Her experience has included working in the heritage, interpretation, museum, planning, arts, archives and local history sectors both independently and collaboratively with other consultants and stakeholders in WA and across Australia. In addition to private commissions and independent projects, Helen has been engaged on substantive contracts as an advisor to Local and State Government in the metropolitan and regional areas around the State, including the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority, DevelopmentWA, Rottnest Island Authority, Peel and Great Southern regions, City of Albany, Shire of Kojonup and City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Her work in the area of site specific interpretation/heritage tourism events has been acknowledged with several awards and commendations.
Helen also contributes to the history, heritage and arts sectors through involvement with various organisations and committees including Professional Historians Association (WA), History Council of WA, City of Perth Cultural Advisory Committee and Country Arts WA Regional Arts Fund Panel and was formerly on the Lotterywest Cultural Heritage Grants Fund panel and Rottnest Island Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee.
